"Beach combing was our #1 activity this week, relaxing was our second. We all had a great week! Sammy the Seal was out to entertain us quite a bit and one day he brought a friend. Foxy was playing hide and seek with the children. Deep sea fishing out of Rustico was fruitful. Caught many Cod and mackeral. PEI is beautiful but we love the south side best! It is the prettiest!!! "

"On our last day we wonder why we waited so long to come here from Germany and how to implement a weekend shuttle from Frankfurt airport. Our kids almost forgot about TV and video games and not even a rainy day could keep us from feeling marvelous. We especially enjoyed the tips on what to do in P.E.I such as walking to the lighthouse, deep sea fishing, singing sands, Mike's Lobsters, shopping in Montague and David Cooper's "every thing you need" store. Although we hope to have a good time on Cape Breton Island, we will miss the two cottages and the gas grill very much."

"Weather progressively improved until it was downright fabulous!! There is so much to do on this island - golf, fishing, clamming - with many etceteras. Just driving the island offers vistas of variegated, disparate mosaics of coloured fields and shoreline views that please the poet and artist in us all! The cottage itself, and setting, is serenely quiet and peaceful. In all, we're really happy we came and hope to return."

"We were hoping two weeks would be enough to see it all but it wasn't. It seemed every day was better than the last and we are genuinely sad to go. Highlights include: Brackley Beach and the awesome waves, the North Cape; seemingly at the edge of the world (unbelievable sunset and up close and personal with a herd of seals), fantastic land and seascapes, cloudless star filled nights with even a comet show thrown in for dramatic effect. Tuesday night at the Chowder House, great neighbours and equally great hosts. I can say for certain, we'll be back."

"Thanks for a great place to stay. It was so peaceful day and night. Feeding the fox family was neat, the kids loved it. Amanda, our ten year old, wants to stay all summer, wish we could! We really need two weeks to see and do all the things this island has to offer. Maybe next time. We ended up at the Chowder House for lunch one day, Great food! What a beautiful view from the lighthouse. Thanks again for everything. The cabins were very cozy."
